PVC Cable Insulation and Sheathing Compounds
Cable insulation and sheathing perform different roles. Define electrical, mechanical and thermal requirements alongside production conditions when selecting PVC cable granules.

Selection for insulation and sheathing
Electrical requirements may dominate insulation selection, while mechanical protection and environmental resistance may dominate sheathing. Specify the cable standard, service temperature, wall thickness, target hardness and colour in a sample enquiry. Comparisons based only on hardness or density can hide critical performance differences.
The role of plasticizer and stabilizer
DOTP may be evaluated for general flexibility and TOTM for heat-ageing and volatility targets. Select the Ca-Zn stabilizer grade with the complete formulation. These choices do not automatically establish a cable temperature rating or flame-test result; validate them on the finished cable.
Include in your sample enquiry
- Cable standard and temperature target
- Insulation / sheath and wall thickness
- Tensile, elongation and ageing
